ExploreLoganCounty.com is a website project developed by Infinity-X of Lincoln, Illinois that stems from a large need for Logan County to have an internet presence. The concept behind ExploreLoganCounty.com (ELC for short) is to encourage residents and non-residents of Logan County to "Explore" all of the various assets of Logan County by utilizing the power of the internet. Five goals have been established for this website which are listed and explained below.

Goal #1: To serve as a resource for information regarding Logan County

Contained in this website will be many different types of information stretching across the entire county. Creating a this resource involves collecting, assembling, organizing, and presenting information so that this website is established as a major source of information regarding Logan County. Once complete, ExploreLoganCounty.com will serve as an online "face" for Logan County and its assets.

Goal #2: To stimulate the economy of Logan County by encouraging commerce within the County

Logan County has many great assets. Assets that need to be made known to both residence and non-residents of Logan County. Creating this awareness will allow for more options to be made available when considering the various needs you may have. For example, when considering what and where to eat on a Friday or Saturday night, you can be able to view and consider options within Logan County rather than just going out of the county to a larger city to find what meets your taste. Part 2 of stimulating the local economy involves bringing in visitors from outside of the County. Goal #3: To create a complete representation of all businesses & organizations within Logan County

The internet is a very important tool to any business or organization because it can serve as a 24/7 source of information that is available to a wide scope of potential customers. ExploreLoganCounty.com contains a "Local Directory" section that is aimed at giving your business/organization exposure to the internet world. Unlike other directories that only list "paid" subscribers, every business/organization will be categorized and listed in the Local Directory section of ExploreLoganCounty.com. Goal #4: To establish a comprehensive, online representation of Logan County to attract visitors to Logan County

In order to draw people into our county, there must first be a reason for them to come here. Logan County has an abundance of history including Abraham Lincoln and Route 66 which many visitors would be interested in if they knew those items were here. So there is a reason for them to come, but how do we get them here? The traditional printed materials approach cannot compete with the availability and scope of people reached through the internet. ExploreLoganCounty.com will create a strong representation of our county so that visitors can really see what it has to offer. One major portion of this is the "Local Attractions" section that will showcase the various things that people want to come and see. This will include directions mapping, photos, and detailed information about the attraction.

Goal #5: To create an opportunity for businesses & organizations to expand internet visibility and help encourage growth

As mentioned in Goal #3 above, every business/organization will be listed in the Local Directory section, but let's take it another step above that. On top of being listed, each business/organization will also have the option of a paid subscription that will allow for additional information to be attached to your listing other than just name, address and phone number. This allows for you to personalize your listing to really explain what your business/organization is about and set it apart from others in that category.
